Welcome to Keller Elementary School!

My name is Stacy Brisben and I am the Principal at Keller.  Keller is located in School District 11 in Colorado Springs, CO. Colorado Springs was founded in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer and has grown to 435,000 residents in 2017.  Colorado Springs School District 11 was started in a house with a few students and currently serves 27,000 students. Keller Elementary School opened in 1971 and currently has 465 students in Preschool to 5th grade. Keller is currently creating curriculum and environments with a STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) focus. We are the proud recipients of the T. Rowe Price Grant (3 years in a row!) as well as the 2016 Rotary Club Take Flight Grant.

My journey to Keller has been filled with many adventures.  I have been in education for 24 years. I have had the opportunity to open two buildings in D11 (Jenkins Middle School and Galileo School of Math and Science).  I was in the classroom for 15 years where I taught math, science, social studies, and language arts in Germany and School District 11.  My roles in education include, a math coach, Literacy Resource Teacher (LRT), Gifted and Talented Coordinator (GT), and Curriculum Coordinator.   My administration experience began 7 years ago.

My greatest joy is my family.  I have been married for 23 years to my husband Todd. He is retired from the military and works as a government civilian. We have a son Blake who is 17 years old and a daughter Brooke who is 14 years old.  I am a football mom, baseball mom, robotics mom, and a dance mom.  I love every minute of it.

If you have any questions or would like to swing by for a visit, please contact us.  We would love to meet with you and show you how wonderful Keller’s community can enrich your family.

See you soon,

Stacy J. Brisben
