Our Principal - Mrs. Stacy Brisben

My journey to Keller has been filled with many adventures. I have been in education for 30 years. I have had the opportunity to open two buildings in D11 (Jenkins Middle School and Galileo School of Math and Science). I was in the classroom for 15 years where I taught math, science, social studies, and language arts in Germany and School District 11. My roles in education include, a math coach, Literacy Resource Teacher (LRT), Gifted and Talented Coordinator (GT), and Curriculum Coordinator. My administration experience began in 2008 and I have loved every minute of it.

I have been at Keller for 9 years. I have been a part of a staff and community that truly believes that all children can learn. The Keller staff is very talented in many areas, and it shows in their love to educate the whole child. At Keller Elementary School, we prioritize each child's unique needs and go above and beyond to support every student. As a clinical dyslexia site, we offer Take Flight Therapy - A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. Additionally, our dynamic STREAM Academy, with its exciting Engineering Lab, empowers every student.

STREAM - Science, Technology, Reading Therapy, Engineering, Arts, Math - Flowing Knowledge Throughout All Disciplines

Our students benefit from many afterschool enrichment programs and reading support from the Children's Literacy Center. We have many families that have had multiple generations attend Keller Elementary School. Families choose to attend Keller and we currently have 48% of our students who choice permit into our school. We believe we are here to be a part of the family support system for children.

If you have any questions or would like to swing by for a visit, please contact us. We would love to meet with you and show you how our wonderful Keller community can enrich your family. Schedule a visit and you can meet our adorable axolotl family!

My name is Stacy Brisben and I am honored to be the Principal at Keller. Keller is located in School District 11 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Colorado Springs was founded in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer and has grown to 492,000 residents in 2023. Keller Elementary School opened in 1971 and currently has 382 students in Preschool to 5th grade.

My greatest joy is my family. I have been married for 31 years to my husband Todd. He is retired from the military and works as a government civilian. We have a son Blake and a daughter Brooke that we are so proud of. Our puppy Ginger keeps us active and the axolotls at school and home keep us busy.

See you soon,

Stacy J. Brisben; Principal – Keller Elementary School
